Ball Tampering in Cricket-Shoaib Akhtar & Umer Gul Ask to Legalize it?

I want to say something in the context of book that has been written by the fastest Pakistani skipper Shoaib Akhter.

I am sharing here my personal experience that when I was playing cricket. This is so much common here in Pakistan (making a ball for match aka ball tampering) even from the domestic cricket and even in the private cricket zones or clubs, I still remember when I was playing club cricket in early 90's, in my very first match my captain came to me with the ball before starting the second over and showed me one side of ball and whispered in my ear don't rub or shine this side, I never have any idea at that time that why he directed me to did that but I memorized the side and follow the instructions as the captain directed. When the 12th over finished my captain threw the ball at me for delivering the 13th over (the 13th over is the middle of the match as because usually there are 25 overs in a match in club cricket here in Karachi, I don't know the current trend but at that time this was a general rule or what to say a custom) anyway I took the ball and preparing myself for throwing the 13th over I started the run-up, cross the umpire, jump & threw the ball towards the batsman, what was that it was big wide ball, how it happened I shouted, my captain come to me and give some necessary direction anyway I prepare myself for the second ball, took the run-up, cross the umpire, jump and threw the ball the result will be the same but this time ball was not too wide, it was a surprised again for me, this time captain come to me and asked a question would you never used a one sided shine ball my answer was 'yes' the captain then don't say anything but just give me a hint put your ball only on off stump side don't try to keep the ball within the stump, I didn't say anything and follow the instructions as said by the captain, but this hint was so much helpful for me as the remaining over was ended without any wide ball but the over was helpful for the other side as they scored 12 runs in the over.

This was the result of a one sided shined ball on a cemented pitch that was as flat as a runway for plane, but the benefit of this ball could only be avail by a good swinger or a good fast or medium pacer only, how it happens I guide you the main idea.

Many of us who play cricket knows the specification of a cricket ball but I am explaining here for those who don't aware of this, the cricket hard ball is a round ball the inner side is a hard plastic cork ball layered with wound string or thread cord and then covered with 4 layers of leather and that is the upper side of the ball that leather has been shined with chemical (usually solution that is used to join wood)  the upper side has been divided in two halves again the both sides are stitched with thick thread, different brand has different style to use there logo but usually one side has the logo of the company and the other side is blank or plain (it has been seen that many balls have brands on both side of the ball but usually one side has logo while the other is blank), the captain of the fielding side gathered all the player (fielder and bowlers) and directed all the players that not to  shine, spit and rub the one side of the ball, while the other side will be shined through sweat and heavy spitting, this way the side that has been shined with heavy spitting and sweating become heavy from the other side because of the leather material, this heavy side of the ball takes swing in air and become a weapon for a good fast or medium pacer and spinner as well, only a good swinger or bowler knows how to use it, an inexperience bowler could not use it in a proper way.

"Ball Tampering" is term given by International Cricket Council to this kind of act, but is it wise to call it as ball tampering? while on the other hand batsman will never use a brand new cricket bat, every batsman in cricket world use a bat that has been properly stroked (brand new bats has been dipped from bottom side in oil for at least one day and hit with hammer from all side for attaining a good hit in match).

So ICC will have to reconsider its rules and provide even facilities to both i.e., batsman and bowler.

Issue In Google Number 1

However Google.com launched its very new service google number 1 and also add this gadget at google.com/adsense login page but when I tried to click the link for accessing this page the requested page said that sorry the requested url is not available on this page. This service has been launched by Google so that the users recommend pages of a website to friends and contacts when their advice is most useful -- on Google search. As a result, webmasters could get more and better qualified traffic. I will expect that Google will take an immediate action and will solve the issue soon.

Thanks To Allah That Boss Is Not In Karachi

I am working in a construction company and my boss is permanently settled in UAE, he comes once in a month for a week or 6 days and check all the transaction done during the month, its a tense period to all the staff especially for sales manager and me (accounts manager) because our interaction with boss is little more than other staff, its quite difficult for both of us to convey all the transaction in one week to boss and if there any mistake of other workers then both of us will have to face the music on behalf of other workers too. Boss is always right and so our boss too, he never give us even a single chance to hear our point.

Even if there is any issue that the solution of which will only have by the boss, he give us a brief lecture on dignity  and diligence first then said to us go on your seat and think on it you will find the solution, so we will take a breath of freedom only when we will see the e-ticket of our boss flight.

His flight left the runway yesterday and both of us are now taking breath of freedom.

Working in Private Sector of Pakistan

I am living in Karachi, it has been almost 12 years past that I am working as Accountant in different organizations of the private sector after completion of my B.Com and MBA afterwards (evening program of Preston University). In all these years that I've spend with these medium & large scale organisations I have observed that the behavior of the owners and upper management towards the employee is quite insulting, bosses of these organization are hanged up badly in business affairs that they forget the official manners and etiquettes, even some time I experienced their bad behaviour with the female workers, they do not realize that they are speaking with a lady. My worst experience was the textile industry of Korangi and SITE where a large number of women and girls are working in different units on different posts from a range checker to a senior unit in-charge or manager, the women of textile industry have daily faced many challenges during her working time including malicious staring, unrelated business meetings, hooting and other types of verbal and visual harassments.

It will be not so much remarkable if the man doing all these types of unethical acts are illiterate or unqualified but the bad society impact also affected qualified and sensible man, who could not keep them or isolate them from all these vulgarities.

This issue needs serious attention, I know there are good organizations too where women feel them quite secure and worked independently with confidence, I never include all industrial areas or sector but most of them are affected with this serious problem as because female of this side already involved in other problems in there houses so that they make the decision to leave the home for running there kitchens.

Few problems that I observed and listen from my different female co-workers are as under;

1. I have two brothers, one is engaged with a political party and the other one is a drug addicted and not take interest in home activities.
2. My husband passed away and I have to see the home.
3. We are 2 sisters my father's legs was lost in an accident, I am the elder one my younger sister is a student so I have to choose to see the home for running my kitchen, my mom handle my father whole day.

I you are a working person, man and reading these lines and feel that what are you doing will be so much disturbing for a woman then kindly make some changer in your life and before saying anything to a women think for a while that there are women in your own home too.

My Travel Companion Suzuki FX 1986

I love to ride in it, this is my travel companion since last 2 years, Suzuki FX 1986 was the best selling hatchback of Suzuki in the mid of 80's, Alto is the amended model in 1988 in 800 cc (known as
Front Side of My Suzuki FX Model 1986
Rare Side of My Suzuki FX Model 1986
Maruti in India and as Mehran in Pakistan), because of high petrol and oil prices in this region and a poor economy, people of lower and middle class society and even posh society likes the small cars from 660 cc to 1100 cc but this model of Suzuki was the popular and successful model of all times, after passing 25 years there is no reduction in its famousness. Although having a small engine capacity it is not suitable to drive it for a drive longer than two or three hours but still you can have it for your family of 3 or 4 persons. I often carry it for some 90 or 120 minutes ride from Nazimabad to Malir Al-Falah or Lyari Expressway and it never disappointed me, however after this duration it takes 20 to 30 minutes for returning back to home. I know that those who have other 800 or 1100cc vehicles will not like or recommend it as because of light chassis but if comparing fuel mileage then there will be no competition of it with other vehicles.

Razaq & Akmal Has Been Dropped From West Indies Trip

Abdul Razaq and Kamran Akmal have been dismissed from Pakistan's for the forthcoming trip of West Indies, while elder players Umar Gul and Younis Khan have been rested. Shahid Afridi stays captain of the team, a new wicketkeeper Mohammad Salman has been introduced.
Kamran's wicketkeeping has been a basis of worry for some time now, while different selectors have persevered with him in the faith that his batting gives the team with flexibility. But an unfortunate World Cup battle, with bat and gloves - the small hit in the match against New Zealand where he dropped centurion Ross Taylor three times, including two times early on, as well as fuzz in games against Sri Lanka and the semi-final with India - have at last showed too much. Coach Waqar Younis had coded that it was time for a fresh wicketkeeper to be introduced, and Salman got the nod.

Chahay Hamaisha Haro-Hamay Tum Say Piar Hai Afridi

What can a captain do his best? Its a question raising concern upon Shahid Afridi, but he do his best the only mistake was to give chance to Umar instead Razaque and it is all pre-set (as per instruction of coach) however according to the situation Afridi as a captain of the ship should take this decision that not to give second spell to Umar Gull.

Anyways lose & win is a part of the game, I personally congratulate India & Sri Lanka for qualifying for the Final and wish both of the team a good luck.

But want to say that "Chahay Tum Hamaisha Haro Hamay Tum Say Piar Hay Shahid Afiridi"
