EU Sanctions On Iran, It Shows Double Standard-Iran

European Union imposed tighter sanctins on Iran, it further stated that member countries will immediately freeze all trade affairs with Iran. All banks are directed to seized accounts of Iran based companies.

While on the other hand Iran's higher defense officials has annoyed against the latest sanctions imposed on Tehran's nuclear program, stating that world powers are applying a double standard.

The Supreme National Security Council of Iran says the EU and other nuclear powers have penalized Iran even it doesn't making nuclear weapons, on the other side they are supporting Israel, which is widely believed to have a sizable nuclear weapon store.

The Israel rejects to verify or deny the suspicions.

The SNSC of Iran further adds there was no good reason for the sanctions. The statement was released on Friday.

It says the U.N. nuclear watchdog has not found proof that Tehran has sidetracked its nuclear program into making of weapons.

EU SANCTIONS

-The EU has imposed visa bans on senior officials such as Revolutionary Guards head Mohammad Ali Jafari, former Defence Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar and former atomic energy chief Gholamreza Aghazadeh, and on top nuclear and ballistic experts.

-Britain announced last October it was freezing business ties with Bank Mellat and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, both of which have previously faced sanctions from the United States. Britain cited fears they were involved in helping Iran develop nuclear weapons.

-Energy sector sanctions would prohibit "new investment, technical assistance and transfers of technologies, equipment and services related to these areas, in particular related to refining, liquefaction and liquefied natural gas technology".
